8-Hour Infection Control Courses
California Dental Educators offers a dental board-approved 8-hour Infection Control course (IC-154).
This course consists of a 4-hour home study didactic component and a 4-hour lab/clinical session at our location in Rocklin, CA.
With the dental board's new regulations that took effect on January 1st, 2025, it is essential to understand that our 8-hour Infection Control course (IC-154) is not only a requirement but also crucial for the safety of the dental office, patients, and the community.
It's important to note that the responsibility for ensuring all dental assistants have completed a board-approved 8-hour infection control course before performing any basic supportive procedures lies with their employer. This proactive approach is key to meeting the new regulations set by the dental board.
